Impact KC is pleased to announce the opening of its 2017 grant application process, which provides Kansas City non-profit organizations an opportunity to be considered for one-time grants ranging between $5,000 and $15,000.
“Since its inception, Impact KC has awarded nearly $1 million in grants to local causes, and we are excited to continue with the same spirit of giving that motivated our organization’s founders more than 10 years ago,” said Burton Taylor, president of Impact KC. “Our organization was created by a group of young, civic-minded friends with a commitment to making an impact on our community.”
If you know a non-profit organization in Kansas City that may have a need we can help meet, please encourage them to apply. You can learn more about the application process here. The deadline for submitting applications is Aug. 1, 2017.
Impact KC has emerged as the most dynamic giving circle in Kansas City – there is no better way to invest $1,000 in our broad community. With that in mind, as we announce the opening of our grant application process, we also encourage you to consider joining our cause!
Please Renew. Our impact this year begins with our past members renewing their commitment to our cause. Thank you for your past support, and please consider renewing your membership here. Also, consider asking your employer about sponsoring your membership or matching your gift. Many local employers have been receptive.
Refer New Members. We are excited to share our simple idea with others who are interested in making a difference in our community. If you have a friend or colleague who may be interested in Impact KC, please send their contact details to membership chair Heather Oberrieder at email@example.com.
Engage. While Impact KC‘s model remains simple – $1,000 = 1 membership and 1 vote – we encourage members who want to be more regularly involved to join our board or a committee. To learn how you can increase your involvement, please contact Burton Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org, and please join us on LinkedIn or Facebook to keep up to date on our current involvements.
